Semen Analysis

59

A semen analysis, also known as seminogram or spermiogram – looks at the volume and quality of a man’s sperm.
It is one of the first steps to detecting male fertility issues.
Male infertility is often caused by low sperm count, abnormal sperm movement, or weak sperm.
It is also used as a screening test after the practice of vasectomy to ensure its effectiveness.

Make sure the container is clean and dry. The sample should be collected by masturbation into the container. Lubricants or condoms should not be used while collecting the sample. They can kill the sperm and affect your test results.
